For imaging administrators, managers, directors, and C-suite leaders who seek to validate their imaging leadership skills, the Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) credential is the only certification that demonstrates excellence and competency in all foundational aspects of imaging management.
The CRA certification helps imaging administrators lead imaging teams and departments by demonstrating their knowledge and expertise in foundational aspects of imaging management, distinguishing themselves as skilled leaders with high standards of achievement and a commitment to continuing education and growth.
Unlike ACHE certification, which has a broader scope, or ARRT certification, which focuses on patient care, the CRA certification demonstrates expertise in imaging leadership specifically.
The CRA demonstrates knowledge and excellence across five domains of medical imaging administration:
- Human Resource Management
- Asset Resource Management
- Financial Management
- Operations Management
- Communication and Information Management
Candidates must fulfill eligibility criteria that ensure a well-rounded balance of skills, education, and experience. To maintain certification, CRAs must submit continuing education credits to validate that they are up to date with the latest best practices across the management domains.
