Fees and Registration

Applications and fees are as follows:

  • AHRA Members: The exam fee is $325, plus a $100 application fee to verify eligibility. The total of $425 (plus late fee when applicable) must accompany the application. 
  • All Other Applicants: The exam fee is $500, plus a $100 application fee to verify eligibility. The total of $600 (plus late fee when applicable) must accompany the application.

Note: If you paid for CRA PATHWAY PREMIUM AHRA MEMBERSHIP you do not have to pay the $100 application fee. Applications submitted after the application deadline must include an additional $50 late fee. Eligibility will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Applications for the May 2025 testing window are now closed. Applications for the November 2025 testing window will open June 3.

Special Requests

Individuals with disabilities and/or religious obligations that require modifications in test administration may request specific procedural changes, in writing, to the RACC no later than 30 days prior to the test date. With the written request, the candidate must provide official documentation of the disability or religious issue. Candidates should CONTACT US to determine the requirements for official documentation. The RACC will offer appropriate modifications to its procedures when documentation supports the need for them.

CRA Scholarships

Kathryn Keeler Memorial Scholarship

Kathryn Keeler was a beloved and valued member of the AHRA staff. Her dedication allowed the CRA to grow and continue to add value to the profession of radiology management. After Kathryn lost her battle with cancer in 2018, the Kathryn Keeler Memorial Scholarship was created to provide opportunities for members who might not otherwise be able to afford the registration fees associated with the test to take the CRA exam. Application Deadline: February 28 and August 31.
 

Blancaflor Scholarship

The Blancaflor CRA Scholarship offers assistance to AHRA military members to cover costs related to obtaining the CRA credential, including books and exam fees. Application Deadline: February 28 and August 31.
 

RCCS CRA Scholarship 

Revenue Cycle Coding Strategies sponsors CRA (Certified Radiology Administrator) scholarships through the AHRA Education Foundation to support imaging professionals pursuing the prestigious CRA credential. These scholarships help cover the costs associated with the CRA exam, making it more accessible to those seeking to advance their expertise in imaging administration. Application Deadline: February 28 and August 31.
