Meet Your Candidates for RACC CRA Commissioners

Bill Algee, CRA, FAHRA

Director of Imaging Services
Columbus Regional Hospital

Candidate Statement:

"I have been honored to serve on the RACC for the last two and a half years working with imaging leaders across the country to focus on the value and integrity of the CRA designation. I have been active at all meetings and participated in the first-ever CRA Information Session at the 2024 AHRA Annual Meeting.

My primary goal is to continue to find avenues to promote the importance of having a CRA leading the imaging department. I am proud to say that through outreach, marketing, and making personal connections we have seen a near-record number of candidates take the CRA. I am very proud of this Commission's work and want to continue to see it grow even more."

Carla Knisley, MBA, CRA, RT(R)(MR)

Director of Clinical Support Services
OhioHealth

Candidate Statement:

"As a member of the Radiology community for over 25 years, I firmly believe in the contributions our profession makes to the overall care of our community members when they are patients. Our professionals are critical to the success of a patient's healthcare journey.

As a leader, it is an honor to support those on the front line making that difference. I firmly believe that ongoing education is key to being successful as leaders supporting our teams and advancing our profession.

The AHRA community is OUR professional organization supporting my beliefs. The CRA is a testament to the commitment leaders have for this profession, education, and supporting each other through collaboration.

I believe the CRA designation supports the individual's strong business acuity as well as demonstrates their knowledge of the profession. Therefore, I feel I CAN not only demonstrate my belief in this profession and the CRA certification, but continue the legacy of those before me to further increase those holding the CRA certification, increase knowledge of the benefits, and support those considering taking it."

Marcy Parsons, RN, CRA, RT(R)(MS), CPHRM

Director of Entity Licensure and Certification
Radiology Partners

Candidate Statement

"To be successful as an imaging leader, one needs to be resourceful, responsive, and ready—willing to roll up one’s sleeves to get things done. I wish to serve as a CRA Commissioner because I am passionate about helping imaging leaders understand the concept of professional practice and how the CRA credential demonstrates a commitment to excellence by validating their skills and expertise through specialty certification.

I want to contribute in a meaningful way to ensure imaging leaders are supported in their professional development. My diverse background as a radiologic technologist, registered nurse, and in operations leadership, risk management, compliance, and regulation has well prepared me to serve on your behalf in the RACC Commissioner role.

My work experience as a clinical operational leader cemented for me the value of engaging and collaborating with others to accomplish shared goals and quality outcomes. Throughout my career, I have been honored with the opportunity to coach, mentor, and participate in the development of new leaders. I would be honored and humbled to serve as a member of the RACC."

Candidate Statement

"I am seeking re-election to the Radiology Administration Certification Commission (RACC), where I have proudly served as a Commissioner for the past three years. During my tenure, I have contributed to multiple key initiatives that have strengthened and advanced the CRA credential.

These include leading two comprehensive Policy and Procedure revisions, participating in the Job Task Analysis Task Force, serving on the RACC Nominations Committee, and contributing to articles in both Link and Radiology Management that promote the value and integrity of the CRA.

Additionally, I served as a panelist for the 2024 AHRA Annual Meeting discussion on the CRA exam, offering insights to support future candidates.
